The large, beautiful private pool is to the rear of the property and has roman steps for easy access. The pool area has outdoor lighting and plenty of space for sun bathing.
Additional facilities can be enjoyed locally. Club Tenis in Calpe town offers tuition (in English) on clay courts and Club Nautico offers a wide variety of watersports. Golf courses can be found in nearby Javea or Moraira. Golf Ifach in Moraira enjoys wonderful views of the Mediterranean and has a round of 9 holes. Javea has a round of 18 holes
Just thirty minutes drive away is Benidorm, which boasts a bullring and several theme parks: Terra Mitica (themes on mystical civilisations from the Mediterranean region), Mundomar (exotic and marine animals) and Aqualandia water park. Being a cosmopolitan town, Benidorm offers the most varied entertainment. At night, the many nightspots provide something for every taste. We really enjoy the Benidorm Palace show, available with an evening meal, for a really spectacular and good value night out. During the day or evening, the atmosphere of the Old Town is enchanting with winding streets of houses with the traditional Algerian-style grilles. A charming and peaceful site is that occupied by the 18th century Parish Church of San Jaime, which houses the beloved statue of Our Lady of Suffrage, patron saint of Benidorm. In addition to the theme parks, one of our favourite places to visit is the Algar waterfall. This is a picturesque spot, one of the most surprising in the whole province, being so incredibly green and rich in water. The crystal-clear, pure waters crash against the rocks and you can bathe under the 25 metre high waterfall, or in one of the deep pools to be found in the area. Also, driving through the Sierra de Aitana mountains, you can visit the Castle at Guadalest, built in the mid-13th century by the Moors. From this fortress there are the most spectacular views extending from the Aitana and Bernia mountain ranges to Mount Serrella further down, and, on the edge of the horizon, the smooth surface of the Mediterranean (pictures immediately below).

Local Area Info
Villa Solana a five minute drive from Calpe Town, supermarkets and major beaches (including Playa Levante o La Fossa).
In the thirties writers such as Hemmingway spent their summers in Calpe. Surrounded by rocky hills, it has a privileged climate, the weather is still warm in November and it offers many sports and
leisure activities throughout the year such as;
Jet-skiing | Windsurfing | Fishing | Rock-climbing |
Sailing | Golf ( 5 courses w/in 30km) | Biking | Hiking |
Scuba Diving | Tennis | Gorge walking | Ten pin bowling |
Waterskiing | Cycling |
If you like sports and adventure, you have both the seas and the mountains to choose from. The fishing port once used by the Phoenicians and Romans now has a Nautical Club and yachting marina,
where you can obtain information about diving, windsurfing, water skiing, swimming and sailing.
Sailing courses are also available. The nearby cliffs and mountains offer more adventures in the form of rock climbing on the Ifach, Toix an spelunking in Olta.
There is a huge Saturday market in Calpe with superb fresh produce, as well as clothes, leather goods and bric-a-brac.
Calpe has an extensive array of restaurants offering everything from international cuisine to typical regional foods. Our favourites include Los Dos Canones, this restaurant can be found in the old town,
where you will be warmly greeted by the owner and served good wholesome cooking, around the corner is Patio De Fuentas, the chef here was trained with Jamie Oliver, and the food is fantastic.
Benidorm with its famous nightlife and theme parks (including Terra Mitica and Aqualandia,) is just 30 minutes away (12kms).
